WUFC Reach Portman Road Final.... Again !

WUFC have reached the LB Group Suffolk FA Senior Cup Final for the 3rd year running.
The current holders beat Corton 2-0 in Saturdays semi-final at Leiston FC.
Whitton controlled the game throughout but were unable to take their chances until the second half when Kevin Inglis put the Greens one up with a world class free kick from 28 yards.
Inglis struck it with power and swerve into the top corner giving the Corton keeper no chance.

Whitton sealed the game when Chris Williams, whos lightening pace threatened the Corton defence throughout was put through on goal and took his chance superbly.
Congratulations to the team and to manager Paul Bugg in his first season at the club on reaching the showpiece final.
WUFC will meet local rivals Ipswich Wanderers in the Portman Road Final.
Wanderers beat Cranes 4-0 in the other semi-final.
The date for the final is yet to be announced. Details will appear on this site.
