TAYLOR WIMPEY BACKS WHITTON UNITED
TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL SEASON

WUFC 1st team have been given a huge boost in their preparations for next season thanks to a new sponsorship deal with Taylor Wimpey.

Whitton United will arrive at their matches in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division wearing brand new tracksuits emblazoned with the leading housebuilder’s distinctive red and blue logo.

“The lads are over the moon – they love their new tracksuits and are really excited about looking the part at all of their fixtures in the up-coming season,” says Jason Hiskey, club committee member and youth team coach.

“We are truly grateful to Taylor Wimpey for agreeing to sponsor us and hope that we do them proud in our 2013/14 fixtures.”

Whitton United’s new tracksuits were given a high-profile introduction – when the team arrived wearing them at their recent Suffolk Senior FA Cup Final against Ipswich Wanderers.

The match took place on Wednesday 8^th May at Ipswich Town’s Portman Road ground and the tightly fought game went into extra time after a 1-1 draw at the end of 90 minutes. With no further goals scored in extra time, the final had to be decided with the dreaded penalty shootout, which Wanderers won 3-2.

“This was a huge occasion for Whitton United and the players were absolutely delighted to have had Taylor Wimpey’s support going into the match,” says Jason. "The club had been aiming to make it a hat-trick of cup final victories."

“Just making the cup final for the third year in a row is an incredible achievement and a testament to the determination of our players and everyone at Whitton United.”
